Why is my PaySika visa bank card blocked?

Hello Dear User!

We understand your frustration every time you notice that your PaySika card has been blocked. First of all, please know that our goal is not to frustrate you or compromise your experience with the PaySika bank card. However, due to market circumstances, we must adapt our policies to ensure a sustainable and reliable service. This is why we have implemented an automatic blocking system after two failed payments due to insufficient funds.

It’s important to understand that this mechanism does not solely depend on us. Every time a payment fails due to insufficient funds, our partners charge us for these unsuccessful attempts. Additionally, it is crucial to maintain the credibility of PaySika cards with online merchants. You may wonder how this affects credibility.

The credibility of a bank card is vital for e-commerce platforms because it ensures the reliability of transactions made. Imagine, for example, that 1,000 PaySika card users make failed payments on the same platform. Knowing that a single user can have up to 8 failed payment attempts on that platform, this could result in potentially 8,000 unsuccessful attempts. Such a situation could lead to mass rejection of PaySika cards on certain platforms, making their use impossible.

To limit these risks, we have implemented this automatic blocking system. Furthermore, we systematically inform you by email and notification whenever you experience a failed payment, warning you that your card will be blocked if there is another failed attempt. We therefore advise you to recharge your card before any new attempt to avoid any blockage.

It is also important to note that we do not control the automatic payments from sites where you have registered your PaySika card (neither the payment dates nor their frequency). This is why we allow one failed attempt without consequences, considering it could be due to a simple oversight. However, at the second failed attempt for insufficient funds, your PaySika card will be immediately blocked. This blockage means you will no longer be able to use your card for online purchases, and any automatic retries from the concerned sites will also be interrupted.

**Reason for the Block:**

Your card was blocked because it recorded two (2) failed payments due to insufficient funds. We are obligated to proceed this way because PaySika must pay fees to VISA for each failed payment due to insufficient funds, resulting in financial losses for our service.

What to Do to Reactivate Your Card?

In case of two (2) failed transaction attempts due to insufficient funds, a fee of 500 FCFA will be deducted to unblock your card. After this deduction, your card will be automatically reactivated for future transactions, provided your balance is sufficient.

Once your card is reactivated, we offer you the opportunity to recharge it for free. This will ensure you have an adequate balance to make your future online payments with peace of mind.

We understand that this situation may be inconvenient, but the security of your funds and account remains our top priority.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Our team is here to assist you at all times.
