How do I prevent my paysika bank card from being automatically blocked because of failed payments due to insufficient balance?

Hello dear PaySika users!

You may have found that your card has been blocked by PaySika.

A situation that occurs when you have two (2) failed payment attempts due to insufficient balance.
We are sure that this situation is quite unpleasant for you and you want to avoid it if possible.
We assure you that this is possible if you respect certain cosigns.

You are probably wondering what these instructions are? We will list them for you so that you can avoid your card being blocked for insufficient balance.

1st tip: Use the payment simulator present in the PaySika app

You have within the app specifically in the explore page the payment simulator option where you can simulate a payment that allows you to know the final cost of your transaction before proceeding to the payment. This cost may vary depending on the exchange rate applied by the merchant site in question. This prevents you from falling into the trap of failed payments. We invite you to test it now if you haven't already.

2nd tip: Maintain enough funds in your PaySika bank card.

Before making an online payment, it is important to always make sure that your card is sufficiently reloaded. That is to say, the amount in your card can allow the transaction to be completed. For this, you must have 2000 FCFA to 5,000 FCFA extra of the amount you think you are paying, especially when you pay in other currencies.

For automatic transactions, make sure you have enough balance on your credit card to cover the transactions that will be made by the merchant sites where you have saved the card information. This helps you avoid having failed payments for insufficient balance.

3rd tip: Note the renewal dates in the calendar of your mobile phone.

If you have subscriptions that automatically renew, note their end dates in your phone's calendar and set a reminder a day before. This will allow you to top up your card on time, avoid repeated payment failures, blocking your card, or worse, deleting it.

For example: If you have a subscription on Netflix and the payment is made every 25th of the month; Write down the date in your phone's diary and set a reminder for 23, 24 in order to top up your credit card in time.

4th tip: Remove your map from merchant sites.

Another option is to remove your map from the sites where the information on it has been populated. This is to prevent these sites from attempting automatic payments while the card is not funded. If, despite the deletion, the payment continues to pass, contact the customer service of the platform in question.

5th Tip: Replace your card on merchant sites

On some sites, it is difficult to remove the information from your card. In this case, it is recommended that you replace your card information with one that has sufficient funds for payments.

PS: It should be noted that after 2 payment attempts ended in failure for insufficient balance, your card is automatically blocked. If you want to unlock it, you will have to pay the sum of 500 FCFA representing your share of the penalty costs. In addition, after 6 failed payments, your card is deleted, you will only have to create another one because you will not be able to recover it. This is why it is important to follow these instructions in order to avoid any inconvenience.

Please follow the recommendations carefully. If you encounter any concerns, please feel free to contact us via the app chat
