How to unlock your Xaf card?
Dear PaySika virtual Visa card users, ou may have experienced a situation where your card got blocked after several failed payment attempts. And just one question comes to mind: How do I unblock my card? In this article, we’ll explain why it happens, how to unblock your card, and how to avoid it in the future.
First, it's important to know that each time a payment attempt fails, PaySika is charged a penalty fee by our payment partner.
So for every failed transaction, we are debited, even if the transaction didn’t go through.
On top of that, multiple failed attempts can damage our reputation with online merchants, and may even result in our cards being banned from certain platforms.
To prevent this, we always notify you after a failed payment so that you can take the necessary action.
Your card only gets blocked after 3 consecutive failed attempts.
IMPORTANT: If automatic payments keep being attempted while your card is blocked, it could lead to the permanent deletion of your card.
1. Top up 500 FCFA to your PaySika account
This amount covers the fees applied by the payment partner for the failed attempts.
2. Click on “Unblock my card”
Once you've completed the top-up, simply go to the card section in the app and tap “Unblock my card” — and you're good to go!
Make sure your card has enough funds before making a payment.
Use the payment simulator in the app to estimate the exact cost of a transaction in real time.
Remove your card info from websites that make automatic payments.
Some sites may charge you without prior notice. If your card isn’t sufficiently funded, this can trigger another block.
