PaySika V3.1.23 (872): Discover everything new in this update!
With version V3.1.23 (872), PaySika introduces several new features designed to strengthen security, give you more control over your subscriptions, and simplify account management. Here are the three main improvements in this update.
To strengthen your account's security, the PaySika PIN code now changes from 4 to 5 digits.
Already have a PaySika account?
After installing the update, you'll need to complete a short PIN migration step:
- Enter your phone number — enter the number linked to your PaySika account.
- Verify your phone number — an OTP code will be sent to you by SMS or WhatsApp, depending on the channel you choose.
- Enter your old PIN code — after entering the OTP code, you'll need to enter your old 4-digit PIN to confirm your identity.
- Create your new PIN code — you'll then be asked to create a new 5-digit PIN.
- Confirm your new PIN — enter your new PIN a second time to confirm it.
Once these steps are complete, you'll be able to access your account and use your new 5-digit PIN wherever it's requested in the app (login, transaction validation, etc.).
New user?
If you're creating your PaySika account for the first time, you won't need to enter an old PIN. Simply create a 5-digit PIN directly, then confirm it.
💡 Good to know: existing users must migrate their old 4-digit PIN to a new 5-digit PIN after the update. New users will create a 5-digit PIN directly. This single PIN is used throughout the app, including to validate a transaction or confirm your identity (see section 3).
With this new feature, you can now find and manage your subscriptions directly from the PaySika app, without going through another service.
How do I access my subscriptions?
From the PaySika home page, go to the “Subscriptions” section.
Once there, you can choose your plan:
- Monthly plan
- Yearly plan
You then get a 90-day free trial.
Sync your subscriptions
After choosing your plan, tap “Synchronize my subscriptions.” PaySika will look for subscriptions currently linked to your account and display them directly in the app. You can then find the list of your current subscriptions and access the details for each one.
How do I pause a charge?
Want to temporarily stop a subscription charge? You can now do this directly from PaySika.
- Tap “Subscriptions” on the home page.
- Select the subscription in question.
- Tap “Stop charges.”
- Choose the date you want to pause the charge.
- Select the pause duration.
- Confirm.
The charge will then be paused on the selected date, for the chosen duration.
💡 Good to know: this feature lets you manage all your subscriptions directly within PaySika and keep better control of your recurring charges. The maximum pause duration depends on your plan; an upgrade may be suggested if the duration you choose exceeds what your current plan allows.
Lost your old number, changed SIM cards, or simply want to use a new number? PaySika now lets you change the phone number linked to your account, while keeping your data secure through a new identity verification step. Two paths are available depending on your situation.
No longer have access to your old number? Start the process directly from the login screen: tap “Change my phone number” at the bottom of the login page, then enter your current number.
Have access to the app? Go to the “Profile” section, tap “Change my phone number,” then enter your PIN to confirm your identity.
Either way, the rest of the process is the same:
- Enter your new number — enter the number you want to link to your account. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to you by SMS to this new number.
- Verify your new number — enter the OTP code you received to confirm you have access to the new number. If needed, you can request a new code or use another verification method.
- Verify your identity — to protect your account against unauthorized changes, identity verification is required. You'll need to complete two steps: a selfie, and an ID document (national ID card or passport). For the selfie, make sure you're in a well-lit environment and that your face is clearly visible. For the ID document, make sure it's valid, fully within the photo frame, and clearly legible.
- Your request is processed — the processing time depends on which path you took:
- From the login screen: verification is processed immediately and the result is shown at the end of the process. On success, your new number is immediately linked to your account and you can use it to log in.
- From the app: your request is sent for review. You'll receive a notification once verification is complete and your number has been updated.
- If your documents can't be verified, a message will ask you to check the information provided and try again.
💡 Good to know: identity verification (selfie + ID document) is required regardless of the starting point, but the response time differs: immediate from the login screen, delayed (with notification) from the app.
With this new version, PaySika is evolving the app around three areas: stronger security with the 5-digit PIN, better subscription management, and more flexibility in managing your account.
Update your PaySika app to enjoy these new features!
